In 2007, China Shoto (AIM:CHNS), a leading Chinese producer of industrial batteries and power supply systems, announces that its subsidiary Jiangsu Shuangdeng Power Supply Co., Ltd successfully passed the comprehensive check of GE Transportation System, with the supplier code from their purchase department transferred through internet, showing that we have formally become their global supplier with the formal supply since the H2 2007. The cooperation between Shuangdeng and GE mainly focused on the start-up locomotive battery, at present, one set of our battery has been used on the locomotive car run on Qinghai-Tibet Line. Besides, as the main supplier of the global train and locomotive car, GE enjoys an absolute leading position in Northern American, European, Asian and others areas, with the market demand increasing steadily. At present, GE Transportation maintains an annual capacity in manufacturing 900 sets new locomotive cars, and maintaining 1500 sets per year. The two parties are now researching on new start-up battery for GE's newly built locomotive car as well as the locomotive car which needs maintenance. |
