China Shoto has established its R&D network system with the technical support of China Academy of Science, R&D projects implemented by Nanjing Shoto Science & Technical Development Academy Co., Ltd. (referred to as Nanjing R&D).

Nanjing R&D has employed and continues to employ many excellent talents, who come from domestic famous universities, such as Harbin Institute of Technology, Xiamen University, Wuhan University, Nanjing University etc. Under the guidance of the enterprise development strategic committee made up of academicians, doctoral supervisors and professor etc., Nanjing R&D is now making great efforts to transform the intellectual capital into products and commercial development. Nanjing R&D is also equipped with much world class equipment and instruments, which helps ensure the quality of the R&D carried out and its achievements.
 Post-doctoral Workstation
In addition, in order to attract more excellent talents at home and abroad to join our academy and specialize in for the development of power supply technologies, to study topics on the frontiers of this subject, to strengthen the core competitive capacity of the academy, and cultivate high level technical staff, the Shuangdeng post-doctoral research workstation was set up in December 2001 with the approval of the Ministry of Personnel of China. Several professors from Haerbin Industry Institute and Wuhan University have been employed to be the supervisors of the research workstation.
 Jiangsu Provincial New -Type High-Energy Chemical Power Supply Engineering Research Center
Jiangsu Provincial New -Type High-Energy Chemical Power Supply Engineering Research Center was set up after being approved by Jiangsu Provincial Science & Technology Department in June 2004. Its duties mainly focus on the study of the active materials of the electrodes, optimal battery structure design, pilot and batch production techniques etc., training technicians and technical management personnel, and providing technical service to the enterprises in this industry.
